I'm thinking this could be used to organize a BCA outing of sorts, climbing, backpacking, skiing/boarding and so on.

I'm sure it won't get used much but there may be a time where it will be used to find interest on a trip at a specific date range so at least we all should know what tools we have for having fun.

You put up a date range in the calendar by clicking "post-event"

Which puts a thread up thats linked to that event on the calendar which then people are asked to "Opt-in" which means they have commitied to the trip.
The calendar is in sync with the thread.

It should help out making trips this winter cause you just click on the calendar which tells you which trips are when and there will be direct links to the planning thread automatically from the calendar to the forum.
